Role Purpose:

To produce timely, accurate management information for UK Mobile; to perform key reconciliation tasks; to assist with year-end processes and statutory accounts preparation

 

Key Responsibilities:

The scope of the role includes preparation of the monthly Management Information Pack

•Preparation of monthly management accounts pack

•Review and analysis of all inputs to the pack

•Variance analysis and commentary in support of the MI Pack, incorporating notes and updates as directed

•Preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations.

•Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register:

•Weekly cash flow submission

•Quarterly VAT return

•Reconciliation of Intercompany transactions 

•Cost centre reporting and analysis

•Assistance with Year-end audit and lead schedules

•Other ad hoc duties as required

 

The role requires adaptability to the challenges of this fast paced changing business. It involves interacting with all areas of the organisation such as Sales, Logistics, IT, Taxes, Marketing. It requires an innovative approach to solving problems to new business processes in a constant changing environment. 

 

Skills and Experience:

•Educated to Degree level

•Fully qualified ACCA or CIMA 

•Advanced Excel skills (v-lookups and pivot tables)

Head of Compliance & MLRO

Location: London - Copthall

Role Purpose:

Your key responsibility will be to ensure Lebara has effective systems, procedures and controls for compliance with requirements and standards under the EU and UK regulatory system – including but not limited to AML regulations.

You will also be acting as the nominated Money Laundering Reporting Officer and discharging the duties in accordance with local regulatory and internal requirements and obligations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifying gaps in compliance and address those by implementing systems, procedures and controls and working with the business, Operations, Product Management and Marketing to implement them
  • Assisting with the compliance risk assessment process ensuring that the regulatory risks are appropriately identified and assessed
  • Providing internal training on regulatory topics in order for the business to keep abreast of regulatory issues and to enhance individual ownership of risk and fiduciary responsibilities
  • Maintaining effective relationships with the regulatory bodies and ensuring rigorous compliance with ongoing reporting obligations
  • Reviewing, creating and implementing AML procedures
  • Maintenance of documented and effective compliance procedures consistent with internal standards, business goals and attitude to risk
  • Monitoring the performance of the Compliance Programme and related activities on a continuing basis, taking appropriate steps to improve its effectiveness
  • Reporting to the Board quarterly on the effectiveness of the compliance program
  • Ensuring regulatory reporting is undertaken in a timely manner, and documented correctly, including the re-authorisation process
  • Implementing a compliance culture and effective company systems and controls to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Undertaking and owning complaint handling procedures, including replies to the Ombudsman
  • Up to date training for the Team, ensuring knowledge/skill gaps are identified and resolved
  • Review new features and services with Product/Marketing/Operations/Technology teams
  • Manage the relationships with third party providers – such as KYC automation providers, regulatory advisors, legal advisers etc.
  • Manage the internal/external audit, implementing recommendations and maintaining compliance and ensuring the business is audit ready
  • Work very closely with the Operations Team and provide support on operational tasks as required
  • Partner with relevant departments to ensure compliance and process implementation
  • Manage due diligence of new partners as part of the integration process Involvement with on-going and future projects i.e. GDPR, reauthorisation of API licence, obtaining regulatory licences in new geographies, etc

 

Skills and Experience:

Essential

  • Previous experience in compliance with a payment institution (preferably remittance)
  • Worked within FCA authorised business
  • Demonstrable understanding of compliance processes and frameworks
  • Proven experience implementing/maintaining systems and controls for compliance
  • Knowledge of EU and UK regulatory systems
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work well within team environment
  • Ability to make sound decisions in the best interests of the business
  • Solid understanding of all relevant regulations and systems used to implement/maintain controls

 

Desirable

  • Legal background
  • Knowledge/experience of both online and offline money transfer businesses
  • Experience working with B2C
  • Demonstrable experience with scaling operations to new countries

ERP Systems Technical Lead

Role Purpose:

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for exposure to a multinational end user with a single instance AX environment within an international Telecommunications company going through a business and technology transformation program. The person will lead the ERP technical team in support of the program objectives of 2018. The company is running AX 2009 with a view to upgrade to the newest version of AX in the next 12 months. Ahead of this several key controls and improvements are needed in the Finance and Supply Chain as well as rationalising some ongoing operations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • ERP & Financial Systems Technical Lead.

  • Prioritise and Manage ERP program backlog, business and technical teams in accordance with ExCo business strategy. Including Digital Transformation strategy.

  • Support Finance, Logistics & Sales ERP Change Program.

  • Primary contact between Finance and Technology Leadership teams.

  • Be involved as required in any project or system with a financial outcome, particularly with business systems.

  • Recruit, coach and manage the ERP and Finance teams both onshore and offshore.

  • Manage 3rd Party Suppliers in regard to ERP and its peripheral systems.

  • Ensure standardisation of business entities and organisational projects.

  • Escalation Point on all business processing and technical Issues around ERP and Finance Systems.

 

Skills and Experience:

Essential

  • Solid and extensive MS Dynamics AX Leadership experience or multiple projects
  • Exposure to complex business processes including e-Commerce, supply chain, EDI and Interfaces.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, budget management, strategic thinking.
  • Experience in international environments.
  • Ability to lead both technical and business cross functional teams and experience of matrix management

  • Waterfall and Agile Management Environments
  • Telecommunications and/or multiple business sector exposure.

Skills and Experience:

Essential

  • Fully up to date knowledge on IFRS
  • Excellent knowledge in managing Audit processes and workflow is critical
  • Good knowledge in consolidation of financial statements – IFRS format
  • Experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX would be beneficial
  • Strong analytical skills, high level of accuracy, methodical with attention to details
  • Proven experience of managing financial control system and processes

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Completion of all Digital entities & LSC financial statements and ready for audit
  • Ensure all stats accounts for Digital entities & LSC are signed as per audit timeline and filed on time
