Yes. When you close your account with your old supplier, they’ll send you a final bill. Once this payment has gone out of your account, it’s time to cancel your Direct Debit. If your account is in credit, the supplier will usually send you the balance.

In general you’ll need to resolve your dispute before you switch. Depending on the nature of the dispute, your application could be rejected.
You can check the type of meter in your home by contacting your current supplier, or by getting in touch with your property’s former occupiers. MoneySuperMarket needs to know the meter type to ensure they give the most accurate quote possible.
MoneySuperMarket don’t need a meter reading to get you a quote. But if you’re moving to a new home it’s a good idea to take a meter reading and inform your current supplier. This will ensure you’re not billed for former-occupant's energy usage.
You’ll get your free data within 14 days of completing your energy switch on MoneySuperMarket. We’ll reward you with 30GB of data for each fuel you switch. We will inform you by email when the data has been credited to your account. This data will be subject to Lebara's terms and conditions.
Your free data is valid for 90 days from the date it’s added to your account. We’ll send you an email to let you know when the data is credited to your MyLebara account. This data can be used only within the UK and will be subject to Lebara’s terms and conditions.
