Is WiFi Calling and VoLTE available on my SIM immediately?

It may take up to 7 days for Wifi Calling and VOLTE to be available once you activate your Lebara SIM. We will notify you once the feature is available for your SIM. If you are moving to us from a network where these features were already enabled on your phone, then Wifi and Volte will automatically be available as soon as your number is ported to Lebara.

What is WiFi calling, how is it useful for me?

WiFi Calling lets you make and receive calls over WiFi when there's poor mobile phone signal.
With WiFi Calling you can make and receive calls and texts in any location that has a WiFi network, even if there's no regular phone signal.
Whether you are in a cafe by the beach or at home in the middle of the countryside, you'll still be able to stay connected.

How do I set up WiFi calling on my phone/handset?

To set up WiFi Calling on your phone, follow the simple steps below.

  1. Go to SETTINGS on the Home screen of your phone
  2. Select PHONES
  3. Select WiFi CALLING
  4. Turn ON the toggle for WiFi calling and return to Home screen
  5. You should see WiFiCall icon on the top right of the screen.

What is 4G Calling (VoLTE) and how is that useful for me?

4G Calling is just like Wi-Fi calling, but it works using your 4G data rather than a Wi-Fi network.
If you have 4G coverage on your phone, you can use 4G Calling to make and receive calls and texts even when you do not have a regular mobile (2G/3G) phone signal. You will need to have a compatible device to enable 4G calling.

How can I check if my device is compatible with 4G Calling?

You can check to see if your phone is compatible with 4G Calling by following the steps below

  1. Find out your IMEI number
    • Dial *#06# from your phone to get your IMEI number
  2. Click hereto Insert your IMEI number and follow instructions to enable 4G calling on your handset. You will be directed to our partner Vodafone’s device Help section to complete this process.

How do I set up 4G Calling on my phone?

To set up 4G Calling (VoLTE) calling on your phone, follow the simple steps below. To turn on VoLTE, you need to select 4G (LTE) as network mode.

  1. Go to SETTINGS
  2. Select Voice & Data
  3. Select Mobile Data
  4. Select Mobile Data Options
  5. Select Voice & Data
  6. Turn toggle ON to activate VoLTE calling

Will I be charged extra for Wi-Fi or 4G (VoLTE) Calling?

No, there's no extra charge for using Wi-Fi or 4G Calling. All calls you make will come out of your UK minutes allowance if you have a plan or will be charged at standard PAYG rates if you do not have an active plan.
